Non-Invasive Testing

Non-Invasive Cardiac Testing

Detecting heart disease with non-invasive cardiac testing and screening tools can save your life. If you think you are at risk for heart disease, see your primary care physician or cardiologist. Based on your symptoms or medical history, your physician will determine which tests are most appropriate.

At North Shore-LIJ, our non-invasive testing team includes board-certified cardiologists, board-certified echocardiographers, board-certified nuclear cardiologists and caring healthcare professionals who collaborate to deliver the highest level of care. Most cardiac tests can be performed at our hospitals or ambulatory offices located throughout the region.

Our cardiac sites are accredited for echocardiography by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC). Determined following an extensive evaluation including case studies, testing procedures, equipment and training practices, the IAC accreditation demonstrates our commitment to the performance of quality echocardiography and its critical role in diagnosing cardiovascular disease.
